Let's get that awful name out of the way first. Seriously, who thought that was funny? Maybe it's not supposed to be, perhaps it's not even intentional, but that name put me right off immediately. If I didn't have to review it, I would certainly not be tempted to listen because of such a bad pun. Right, enough on that. I did have to listen to it, and I can report that one third of this single is pretty good; closing track 'Little Boy', with its nicely textured guitar work culminating in a faux-Oasis sound. Elsewhere it's schoolboy lyrics about 'doing the missus and stuff' that really annoy the shit out of me. Musically the heavier sections, such as the majority of tracks one and two, are quite uninspired, plodding, and tedious to hear. Vocally, Dan Turner can pull off a tune, but irritates with his higher register screeches. Stick with the formula for that closing track and I might get excited about a follow-up. Otherwise, I imagine they'll be playing your local pub anytime soon.
