CROSS

Quite honestly, just the thought of hearing nothingness in place of this is quite thrilling. Opening with what sounds like a midi keyboard, with Marillion/Gilmour-esque lead guitar notes, and a singer who, you know, is emoting to the point of boredom, is not a good start. But, as the rest of the album sticks to the same formula, where could you start when it all falls flat and lifeless? Every progressive rock cliché is dug up and thrown in the mix to see what sticks, and the resulting mess is an attack on the ears that only listening to some thirty-odd year old Floyd or Genesis will cure (at least their ancient keyboards were supposed to sound like fromage). This is really quite poor.
