HELLFUELED

‘Emission Of Sins’ is the fourth album from Swedish 4-piece Hellfueled. Their overall sound, which is built on solid riffs, pounding rhythms and Andy Alkman's Ozzy Osbourne-esque vocals seemed more polished and melodic than I'd expect from a band playing this style of classic metal. The impressive ‘Where Angels Die’ provides the album with a really strong start but unfortunately the repetition of ideas in the following tracks failed to match this. The lack of a dirty/gritty edge on the album made it difficult for me to really get into and although never bad there are only hints of excellence on ‘Emission Of Sins’ such as the memorable choruses on ‘A Remission Of My Sins’ and ‘Lost Forever’ as well as the lead guitar on the instrumental ‘Moving On’, which closes the album. I think Hellfueled are musically capable of producing a great album if only next time they can write some killer songs to go with their undoubted talent.
