SUNN 0))) & ULVER

Welly welly well now, it appears that Sunn O))), drone lords of the underworld, overworld, inner world, outer world, in-between world, maybe-somewhere-else world, and Ulver, eclectic, electric, avant garde experimentalists with a fondness for William Blake, got it on one night in August 2008, the naughty devils. Five and a half years later and their bastard lovechild, ‘Terrestrials’, has at long last been released from their laboratory. If you know either of these bands, you know what to expect, well, almost. If you don’t know them, you really should. Both bands are incredible at what they do (save for Ulver’s not-so-great vocals) and continue to create music that is never anything less than staggering. Stick ‘em together and what do you get? Three tracks that invite eternal indulgence and endless interpretation. Every adjective that ever appeared in every review of either’s music applies here so I’ll save you the struggle of thinking up any new ones and just say one thing, buy this. If you ever tire of listening to this, then believe me when I say it’s not the music, it’s you.
